Become a Volunteer
There are many ways to volunteer your time with MADR. Currently our weekly adoption events are on hold due to COVID-19 but we are always looking for people to help with:
- Walking dogs at our shelter
- Assisting with routine cleaning at the shelter (i.e. laundry, mopping, washing dog bowls, etc)
- Maintenance at the shelter (i.e. power washing kennels, building shelves, etc)
- Working the booths at craft shows and other events
- Creating different items for our craft shows
- Returning cans and bottles from our bottle/can drives
- …and many more!
Please contact us if you are interested in becoming a volunteer. Volunteers must be over 18 years old to volunteer with the rescue, or 16 years old with parental content, and must be comfortable around dogs.
Fundraise
We are so appreciative of people who choose to fundraise for MADR. Some ways to fundraise include:
- Collecting cans and bottles in your neighborhood
- Hosting a jeans day at your workplace
- Starting a blanket and towel drive
- Spearheading a coin drive
- Creating a birthday fundraiser on Facebook
Please contact us if you have any creative ideas and a volunteer would be pleased to help you with your fundraiser in any way that we can!
